Caught Red-Handed Vintage Repurposed NecklaceYou SHOULD be caught red-handed WEARING this necklace!
The repurposed dress clip that is the focal point of this necklace is pretty freaking amazing, I must say. Domed red glass cabochons and clear paste stones alternate in rows. The red is gorgeous and I adore the shape of the cabs. Stellar. From the bottom I wire-wrapped, with gold-filled wire, a vintage garnet nugget bead, a sterling silver stardust rondelle embedded with tiny CZ's (!!!) and a tiny gold-filled stardust bead to a vintage, French steel-cut button that has a red tinge to it. Below that are more wire-wrapped beads (as described above) and an amazing little drop from a repurposed choker that has a lovely shape and wonderful clear prong set rhinestones. The "chain" is made from more gold-filled wire-wrapped beads, sections from a vintage repurposed rhinestone choker, vintage chain interrupted with vintage red faceted glass connectors. The clasp is the original clasp from the aforementioned rhinestone choker. Stunning, truly. Length before the drop portion is approx. 16". Overall length is approx. 12". |
