Yes, you read that correctly....6 strands! This one is a little more delicate and subdued than my other "complicated" necklaces.
These multi-strand necklaces are all the rage and I love how disheveled they look. Like you didn't care. But you know you do.
So, here's the deal...you can sort of straighten this out to make it more tame (see 2nd photo) but the more fun way is to hold this by one end and spin and twist it up and then put it on. (See photo #1). These 6 strands are all connected on each end with one clasp. If you keep spinning it can even be a choker. I put a chain on one end near the clasp to give you more room for doing just that.
This necklace has 2 vintage rhinestone necklaces. One is in light blue and the other is clear. Both are very sweet and delicate. One is a vintage watch chain in gold tone. One is a antiqued brass round link chain. One is a sterling silver delicate chain with the original center piece. I replace the cameo that was on this necklace with a gorgeous, open-back round faceted crystal drop. The last chain is a vintage child's rosary with tiny black beads interspersed with tiny light blue beads. From the portion that originally had the cross I hung a very tiny vintage, French, steel cut button!
Overall length is adjustable to approx. 23" but as you twist and tangle it will get shorter. See photos for differences in length. From the back I hung a vintage cut glass button.
