Asymmetrical Repurposed Paste Buckle Necklace

The centerpiece of this necklace is one half of vintage rhinestone, paste, buckle. It was from Czechoslovakia (was stamped on the back but I had to cut that part off to make this necklace work!), so the stones are top-notch - all prong-set and sparkly but not too sparkly. You know what I mean. They look vintage in the best possible way!

On each side of this necklace are 2 different watch chains. The one on the left has links with a beautiful floral motif. The bar on the other watch chain acts as the catch for this necklace. (So, you wrap the chain around your neck and put the t-bar into the top of the rhinestone brooch..more on that in a minute!). The watch chains are connected to each other with a vintage mother of pearl connector from a vintage rosary.

Back to the brooch, well used-to-be-a-brooch, that is....it is now the opening, the catch, if you will for this asymmetrical necklace. It has a ellipse shape and varying sizes of rhinestones. More links of the lefthand side watch chain is also on this side, from the brooch to the buckle.

The buckle is wire-wrapped, with gold-filled wire with vintage white glass French beads with 2 holes and a tiny rhinestone center. Perfection.

Overall length before the pendant is approx. 9", with the pendant 10 1/2".
