Paula Montgomery has been making jewelry in some shape or form since she was 7 years old. Her grandmother’s button box and jewelry box were often the source of her designs. Geesh, not much has changed all these decades later. In between, she got her B.A. in Drawing and Painting and teaching credentials in secondary art and mathematics. She taught high school for 10 years and then owned and operated 2 small, yet successful businesses with her husband. At age 53, widowed, and ready to shake things up, she is going back to her first love, making jewelry. And sleeping in.

Paula has an incredible work ethic, a keen attention to detail, a fine sense of design, and she still has her container of beads from 1966. She is also a killer cook, an avid runner, a lover of animals, her iPhone and gorgonzola cheese.
